I'm Not Dead Yet! is a software service operated by Michael Billman. It automatically monitors periodic check-ins from registered users and, if a user's check-ins stop, automatically notifies that user's previously-designated emergency contact.

Phone numbers and SMS

Phone numbers collected by this service are used only to send account-status text messages: periodic prompts to the account holder confirming they remain active, and a notification to a designated contact if the account holder becomes inactive.

No mobile information — including phone numbers, SMS opt-in status, or messaging consent — is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. This applies to all categories of information collected by this service. Phone numbers are never sold, shared, or transferred to any third party for any other purpose either.

How consent is given

An account holder provides their own phone number directly, by typing it into their own account's contact-info settings on this site's dashboard (imnotdeadyet.net/dashboard/) after signing in with their own email. That action is the opt-in — no phone number is ever collected, guessed, purchased, or added by anyone other than its owner. The terms a user agrees to at that point restate this consent and message frequency in full.

Message frequency

Message frequency is low — typically a small number of messages per month at most, with the possibility of a one-time notification if the account holder becomes inactive. Message and data rates may apply.

Opting out

Reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time, or contact the account holder directly. Reply HELP for assistance.

Data retention

Contact information and message logs are retained only as long as needed to operate the service and are deleted on request.
