I'm Not Dead Yet! is a software service operated by Michael Billman. The account holder checks in periodically. If check-ins are missed, the service automatically sends reminders by email and text. If check-ins stop entirely, the service automatically notifies a designated contact chosen in advance by the account holder, directing them to check their email for further instructions.

Using the service

By creating an account you agree to these terms and the privacy policy. The service sends reminders and, if you stop checking in, delivers your encrypted message to the people you chose. It is provided as a free beta, without a guarantee of delivery: email, text and push can fail, and an offsite copy is insurance, not a promise. Do not rely on it as your only means of getting something to someone. You are responsible for keeping your passphrase and for the accuracy of your recipients' details.

SMS terms

By typing your own phone number into your account's contact-info settings, you consent to receive SMS messages related to this service: periodic status prompts (account holder) or a notification if the account holder becomes inactive (designated contact). Message frequency is low — typically a small number of messages per month, with the possibility of a one-time notification if the account holder becomes inactive. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for assistance.
